OG&E Electric Services is reporting several outages throughout northwest Oklahoma around 5 p.m. Monday, Feb. 25, 2013. The area is seeing heavy snow, with some gusty wind, creating blizzard-like conditions at times out in the rural areas.
All of northwest Oklahoma currently is in a blizzard warning.
OG&E spokesman John Little said crews are on the roads working the problems that are causing the outages. Little said the issues could range from simply limbs on power lines that interrup the flow, causing the power outage, to downed lines because of ice, snow or wind.
Some of the simple issues, such as limbs on lines, are easily fixed, while other serious issues may take more time, but crews are working on getting those without power back on line.
