A winter storm watch has been issued by the National Weather Service for parts of Oklahoma for Wednesday and Christmas Eve with a cold, but dry, Christmas Day forecast for the state.
The weather Service said Tuesday night would become mostly cloudy with light rain or snow developing in the Panhandle and widespread fog and light drizzle in the west. Lows are to range from the mid 20s in the Panhandle to the mid 50s in the southeast.
Snow is expected in the Panhandle Wednesday with one to four inches forecast while rain and thunderstorms are likely elsewhere. High temperatures are to reach the lower 30s in the Panhandle to the mid 60s in the southeast.
Snow is to move into central Oklahoma by Christmas Eve with thunderstorms and rain in the remainder of the state with highs from the upper 20s in the Panhandle to the lower 50s in the southeast.
Christmas Day is to be cloudy, but dry and colder with highs in the 30s and 40s.
