With all the holiday bustle, it is easy for what many Enid residents see as true reason for the season to get lost in the shuffle.
So, for the second year in a row, Enid News & Eagle is bringing the story of Christmas to the forefront — this time with a little help from some local and area churches.
Three Emmanuel Christian School students narrated the story of Jesus Christ’s birth as told from Scripture. Their words were put to video clips of Emmanuel Baptist Church’s annual pageant and Enid First Church of the Nazarene’s living nativity. United Church of Lahoma provided the music behind the narration.
“We first started this tradition of reading the Christmas story last year,” said Violet Hassler, special projects editor and producer of the video. “It earned some compliments from our readers, so we thought we would offer the story again as a reminder for what many in this area view as the meaning of Christmas.”
