Church slates benefit dinner and auction to help local family with medical expenses
Central Assembly of God is seeking donations for a benefit dinner and auction to help out a family with medical expenses.
The benefit will be Dec. 5 at Chisholm Junior High School. The dinner will be 6-9 p.m., and the live auction will begin at 7 p.m.
The event is being held for Donnie Sinclair and his family. All proceeds raised during the auction will go to the Sinclairs to help with the cost of medical expenses and travel to and from M.D. Anderson in Houston.
Donnie Sinclair is a 43-year-old father of three who is in a fight against cancer for the second time. The family lives in Kremlin and he works for Munn Welding Supplies. His wife, Tonya, works for T&M Printing in Enid. They have three children of various ages who all attend Kremlin-Hillsdale schools.
“His church family, along with friends, co-workers and family members, have all worked hard to organize a community- wide benefit for the Sinclairs,” said Kevin Ward, lead pastor of Central Assembly of God. “We are in the process of securing donations which will be auctioned off at the benefit.”
Some of the items to be auctioned are new golf clubs, leases for fishing, guided fishing trips, new generator, sports memorabilia, new GPS unit, hair salons, full body massages, facials, pet grooming, bed and breakfast trips, date night packages, homemade quilts and afghans, holiday cakes and pies, photo packages, dental products, air conditioning and heating maintenance, fitness club memberships and Leonar-do’s Discovery Warehouse memberships.
Everyone is invited to attend the auction and is encouraged to come for the meal.
Cost of the meal is $10 per person. The meal is not necessary to attend the auction.
To donate items for auction, call Ward at 233-1818.
