Leonardo's Discovery Warehouse will be closed Thanksgiving Day only, but will feature special activities Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday for children of all ages.
“We always enjoy celebrating holidays with children,” commented Julie Baird, Leonardo's executive director. “Currently, we are featuring the “Eureka” exhibit as part of the Oklahoma Museum Network funded by the Donald W. Reynolds Foundation. It includes 13 stations of hands-on science inquiry including a bed of nails, video light microscope, turntable, and much more.”
On Wednesday in the “Create a Masterpiece” area, guests will have the opportunity to make Indian corn and Pilgrim napkin rings to be used on their Thanksgiving Day table. Starting Friday, guests may make holiday ornaments and cards. Free Segway rides will also be available starting Friday with paid admission.
Leonardo's Toy Shoppe is also open with an expanded assortment of educational toys for children of all ages. There is no cost to visit the gift shop and Leonardo's also offers free gift wrapping with purchase.
“Thanksgiving brings family and friends home to Enid. We hope you and your special guests will choose to spend part of that time with us,” Baird said.
