Anderson
Major Michael Anderson, of Scott Air Force Base, Illinois, retired from the Air Force Oct. 1, 2009, after serving 20 years and three months. Anderson served as a KC-135 navigator, USAFA instructor, expeditionary airfield operations commander and staff officer in Air Mobility Command at Scott AFB. Throughout his career, he deployed on operations and exercised to many countries, including Afghanistan, Korea and Iraq. Anderson’s son, Cadet Cody Anderson, of the Air Force Academy, in Colorado Springs, Colo., pinned the Bronze Star on his father’s lapel during the ceremony.
Anderson is a 1984 graduate of Enid High School and Oklahoma State University. He is the son of Duane and Donna Anderson, Enid.

UPDATED photo- Silver Alert issued for missing Garfield County man
Garfield County authorities have issued a Silver Alert for an 88-year-old man who hasn’t been seen since leaving for church. The county sheriff’s office says Edward Sutter was last seen about 9:30 a.m. Sunday when he left home for 1st United Methodist Church in Enid. Sutter never arrived at the church. He was last seen driving a gray, 2003 Toyota Avalon. Authorities had initially said he was driving a Toyota Altima.
