Fifth Sunday sing this month has been canceled at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Covington, due to several churches holding their Hanging of the Greens.

A meeting for Thrivent Financial for Lutherans will be held at St. John’s Lutheran Church immediately following church Sunday.

A meal will be held at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at St. John’s Lutheran Church, followed by Hanging of the Greens at 7.

First Baptist Church packed and sent 113 Christmas boxes for Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child.

First Baptist Church’s Thanksgiving service will be at 7 p.m. Sunday and there will be no service Wednesday.

The Covington-Douglas Wildcats will host Forgan today in the second round of Class C football playoffs.

The Lady Cats basketball team will travel to Mulhall-Orlando Nov. 27 for a scrimmage.

On Nov. 30 the fifth- through eighth-grade basketball teams will host DCLA at 4:30 p.m.
