Warmth for Wildcats is needing coats
Covington-Douglas FCCLA group is supporting the community by sponsoring a Warmth for Wildcats coat drive.
They are asking anyone who has extra new or slightly used coats and hoodies to bring them to the Covington-Douglas FAC’s room by Dec. 1. Also accepted are gloves, scarves and new or unused stocking caps.

On Monday, the fifth- through eighth-grade basketball teams will host Pond Creek-Hunter beginning at 4:30 p.m.

The seventh- and eighth-grade basketball teams will play in the DCLA basketball tournament this week.
Church
The Food Pantry at the Methodist Church needs replenishing with canned goods, cereal and powdered milk. Contact person is Jim Postier. The Food Pantry serves the Covington area.

This evening, in place of the worship service, First Baptist Church will host Family Night at Denny Price Enid YMCA from 6-8:30 p.m.

UPDATED photo- Silver Alert issued for missing Garfield County man
Garfield County authorities have issued a Silver Alert for an 88-year-old man who hasn’t been seen since leaving for church. The county sheriff’s office says Edward Sutter was last seen about 9:30 a.m. Sunday when he left home for 1st United Methodist Church in Enid. Sutter never arrived at the church. He was last seen driving a gray, 2003 Toyota Avalon. Authorities had initially said he was driving a Toyota Altima.
