Enid woman could be sent to prison for trafficking drugs
An Enid woman is facing two possible sentences of 15 years to life following her arrest late last week.
Kristal Lynn Fuentes, 23, was one of several people police were seeking after a large-scale Sept. 29 drug raid that involved more than 100 law enforcement officers.
Fuentes was wanted for distribution of cocaine and was arraigned Thursday on two felony counts of distribution of a controlled substance. Because of five prior felony drug convictions, Fuentes faces up to life in prison on both charges.
According to an affidavit filed in the case, Fuentes sold crack cocaine to two police informants in early January, each time selling more than 1 gram to each informant.
Special District Judge Paul Woodward set Fuentes’s bond in amount of $100,000, which was requested by a prosecutor.
Assistant District Attorney Josh Davis requested the bond, twice the amount on the warrant for Fuentes’s arrest, because of the woman’s criminal history.
“It is also the state’s intent to file applications in several felony cases,” Davis said.
Fuentes also appeared on a misdemeanor charge of driving under suspension and was given a $1,000 bond in that case.
When asked by Woodward if she had anything to say before he set bond, Fuentes curtly replied, “No.”
