Enid will be one of the stops in a series of meetings sponsored by Oklahoma Department of Transportation’s planning and research division.
The meeting will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Cherokee Strip Conference Center to provide residents with information and access to ODOT staff and to receive comment on important transportation planning documents.
Residents may attend to suggest ideas and provide comments for the state long-range transportation plan. The plan will guide ODOT’s policies for the next 25 years.
The document contains information and policies related to highways, airports, rural transit, waterways, rail, pedestrians and bicyclists.
The plan addresses goals related to safety and security, accessibility and mobility, transportation system maintenance, freight and shipping options and other proposals by ODOT.
Information about the long-range plan can be found on the Web site at www.oklongrangeplan.com
