Six northwest Oklahoma students were among 45 recipients of the 2009-10 Seniors of Significance Award presented by Oklahoma State University Alumni Association.
Area students receiving honors, their hometowns and majors were: Carrie Highfill, Enid, animal science; Brady Brewer, Hunter, agriculture economics and accounting; Janea Butler, Cherokee, hotel and restaurant administration; Jared Crain, Woodward, biochemistry; Michelle Jones, Medford, animal science and ag communication; and Travis Schnaithman, Garber, ag economics.
The Seniors of Significance Award honors students who have excelled in scholarship, leadership and service for OSU and Stillwater community. The group represents approximately the top 1 percent of the 2009-10 graduating class.
A reception acknowledging the winners will be 5:30-7 p.m. Nov. 23 at the ConocoPhillips OSU Alumni Center.
