Pioneer-Pleasant Vale Academic Foundation’s annual banquet is 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Pioneer High School cafe-teria. Plans are to recognize students for their academic success for the 2008-2009 year. Grants to Teachers will be presented at the banquet.
A catered dinner will be served by Sister’s Cupboard. Students being recognized will eat free; however, in order to help defray costs of the meal and other expenses, donations will be accepted. Donations may be made at the banquet or online at www.ppvaf.org.
Pioneer Chorus will entertain at 6:30 p.m. followed by the program. A silent auction will be held during the evening. Door prizes will be given away.
Pre-registration will take place at www.ppvaf.org or by calling 249-5760. Those registering will have their names placed in a special drawing for a prize.
PPV Academic Foundation is preparing its first pewter Christmas ornament to be unveiled at the banquet. The ornament is dated and features the 1921 bell tower at the high school.
