The Deer Creek-Lamont Public Schools PTO carnival is scheduled for today.
The meal sponsored by Chikaskia Masonic Lodge 109 of Blackwell will be baked potato and Frito chili pie and will start at 5:30 p.m. in the Deer Creek cafeteria. It is by donation.
The carnival will be 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the Deer Creek gym. Bracelets to get into the carnival will be $2 per person and will be available to purchase at the dinner. Bingo tickets will be four for $1.

Jacob Blanton and Lindsey Campbell qualified for the state cross country meet.

National Honor Society members have been busy working on projects and have started play practice.
They will make fruit baskets for their mentors. Alexia Pennington and Sarah Coufal took glass pumpkins to Tonkawa Nursing Home residents last week.
Members will serving the the noon meal Friday at the senior citizens center.

Christ’s Church in Deer Creek will have its annual garage sale 8 a.m. to noon today.

Practice has started for the annual community Christmas cantata. Practice will be 4 p.m. every Sunday at Lamont Christian Church. It is open to anyone.
