Enid man falls from pickup

An Enid man is in stable condition at a local hospital after he fell out of the back of the pickup in Longdale, Blaine County, at 4:07 p.m. Saturday, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Don R. Powell II, 25, was taken to Fairview Hospital and then to St. Mary’s Reg-ional Medical Center with head injuries, according to an OHP report.

The driver of a white Chevrolet pickup made a turn at Broadway and Cherry in Longdale, and Powell, sitting in the back on a tool box, fell out. The driver left the scene, according to the report, which lists Powell as intoxicated.
