Cherokee Friends of the Library is planning a reception on Veterans Day, Nov. 11, in honor of all remaining World War II servicemen and women from the county.
The reception will be at the new library, 123 S. Grand, Cherokee.
Officials with the city of Cherokee and library are working to locate all surviving World War II veterans from Alfalfa County. Any veteran or anyone who knows a surviving veteran can call (580) 596-2366.
