The FCCLA dinner will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. today in the school cafeteria. Menu includes turkey and ham, salad, vegetables and desserts. Cost is $6 for adults and $4 for children under 12. Carryouts will be available.

Monday the 5th and 6th grade football team will host Hinton at 5:30 p.m. The junior high game will follow at 7 p.m.

The speech department will have a 1-Act Dessert Theater Tuesday beginning at 7:30 at the high school.

The elementary school will participate in Walk to School Wednesday. The event will begin at 7:30 a.m. with kids, parents and community leaders walking from the Okeene Park. Students will arrive at school around 7:50 a.m. The walking adventure is hosted by the Blaine County Community Health Team. Join the children and adults around the world to celebrate the benefits of walking.

The Gulpeppeper and Merriweather Circus is coming to town today. The circus will be held at the old baseball field. Showtimes are at 2 and 4:30 p.m. Skeeter the clown has visited the Okeene elementary students to get them geared up for a wonderful time. The event is sponsored by the Okeene Kiwansis Club.

John Ramey, city manager for city of Okeene, has received the Hicks-Middleton Meritorious Service Award for outstanding public service from the Municipal Electric Systems of Oklahoma.
