Leadership Oklahoma accepting applications
Leadership Oklahoma is accepting applications for its 2010 Youth Leadership Oklahoma class.
The program is designed to give young people leadership skills while allowing them to experience many geographic, cultural, technological and historical aspects of the state.
Leadership Oklahoma accepts 50 members each year, and the 2010 class will be June 13-18.
The program is for high school juniors or the home-schooled equivalent who have at least a 3.25 grade point average. Participants are selected based on demonstrated leadership ability and involvement, as well as geographic, racial and cultural diversity.
Applications may be downloaded at www.leadershipok lahoma.com or requested by calling (405) 848-0001.
Applications must be submitted by 5 p.m. Dec. 1.

UPDATED photo- Silver Alert issued for missing Garfield County man
Garfield County authorities have issued a Silver Alert for an 88-year-old man who hasn’t been seen since leaving for church. The county sheriff’s office says Edward Sutter was last seen about 9:30 a.m. Sunday when he left home for 1st United Methodist Church in Enid. Sutter never arrived at the church. He was last seen driving a gray, 2003 Toyota Avalon. Authorities had initially said he was driving a Toyota Altima.
