American Legion Post 190 will serve a meal at 5 p.m. Saturday at Covington Park in honor of Indep-endence Day. Meal is by donation.
Covington Lions Club will serve watermelon in the evening at the park, followed by a fireworks display at dusk.
The club also is having a drawing for a barbecue grill and a family pack of fireworks. Tickets are $1 and can be purchased from any Lions Club member.
The club is selling fireworks through dusk Saturday.
