You can help save Yufi

By Jennifer Gumaer, Special to the News & Eagle

This week’s featured pet for Enid Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is Yufi, an Australian shepherd, chow chow mix.

Yufi is friendly and she loves to play. All vaccinations are current and deworming has been done.

If you are interested in meeting Yufi, call Enid SPCA at 233-1325 or visit the shelter at 1116 Overland Trail 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday or 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.

Adoption fees are $65 and includes spaying or neutering at this facility. An adoption application is available at www.enidspca.org. Other dogs and cats can be viewed online.

Many dogs live in foster homes. Call first before stopping by to make sure the dog you are interested in is at the facility.

June 26 is Take Your Dog to Work Day.

First celebrated in 1999, Take Your Dog To Work Day was created to celebrate the great companions dogs make and to encourage their adoption from humane societies, animal shelters and breed rescue clubs.

This annual event encourages employers to experience the value of pets in their workplace for this one special day to promote pet adoptions.

More information can be found online at takeyourdog.com.
