Jack’s Outdoor Power Equipment will begin its 30th anniversary celebration today.
Jack’s sells various lawn mowers, chainsaws and other lawn equipment among other things.
“We have parts for lots of different brands of equipment,” said owner Mike Brown. “Some (parts for brands) we don’t even sell.”
The store also has three full-time mechanics for maintenance and repair work, said Brown.
The anniversary event begins today with some special pricing, visiting vendors and lunch. The celebration continues on Saturday and the store will be staying open until 2 p.m. rather than closing at noon.
The North Enid Lions Club will be serving lunch both days from its emergency management trailer.
Several vendors will be visiting and some will have demonstrations. Visiting vendors include Dixon, Snapper, Stihl, Grasshopper, Echo, Honda and Toro.
Brown said there also will be some special pricing during the two-day event.
“We just kind of want to give thanks to Enid and surrounding areas for their business,” said Brown.
Jack’s Outdoor Power Equipment was opened in 1979 by Jack and Dorothy Holt. Brown bought it in 2000 and is the third owner of the business.
