3 hospitalized after vehicle accident in Blaine County
Three people were hospitalized Monday after a one-vehicle accident near Geary in Blaine County.
According to an Oklahoma Highway Patrol report, Brandi L. Black, 25; Nicholas Navarro, 4; and Damien Latham, 7, all of Geary, were listed in serious condition at OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City.
Black had leg and trunk injuries. Navarro had head injuries, and Latham had head and trunk injuries.
The accident happened at 3:12 p.m. on a county road two miles south of Geary, according to the report.
According to the report, Black was driving a 2000 Toyota Tacoma south on the road. She approached an intersection “at a speed greater than reasonable and proper for road conditions,” according to the report, and drove over some ruts in the road and went into an embankment.
Another passenger, Estaban Gonzalez, 21, of Geary, refused medical treatment at the scene, according to the report.
Seat belts and child restraints were not in use, according to the report, which listed unsafe speed as the cause.

UPDATED photo- Silver Alert issued for missing Garfield County man
Garfield County authorities have issued a Silver Alert for an 88-year-old man who hasn’t been seen since leaving for church. The county sheriff’s office says Edward Sutter was last seen about 9:30 a.m. Sunday when he left home for 1st United Methodist Church in Enid. Sutter never arrived at the church. He was last seen driving a gray, 2003 Toyota Avalon. Authorities had initially said he was driving a Toyota Altima.
