Police investigating mailbox vandalisms

Police are investigating a rash of mailbox vandalisms that occurred during the weekend and caused more than an estimate $700 damage.

According to Enid Police Department reports, 21 people reported Saturday their mailboxes being vandalized, resulting in an estimated $725 damage.

The majority of the vandalism occurred in the 1300 block of Nancy and 2000 and 2100 blocks of East Birch. Vandalisms also were reported in the 1300 block of Orleans, 1700 block of East Eucalyptus and 2000 block of Martin.

Anyone having information that will lead to an arrest or prosecution is asked to call Garfield County CrimeStoppers at 233-6233 or Enid Police Department at 242-7000. Callers can earn up to a $1,000 reward and will not be required to testify or be identified.
