Residents slated to vote in school bond elections

Today, area residents will vote in the Deer Creek-Lamont schools bond election.

DCLA elementary school student will attend a track meet at 9:30 a.m. today at Medford.

The all-sports banquet is 6:30 p.m. today in the old gym.

----------

Deer Creek-Lamont High School spring music concertis 7 p.m. Thursday in the old gym.

DCLA high school awards assembly will be 9:30 a.m. Friday with graduation at 7 p.m. Eli Reese is the valedictorian and Justin Kirby is the salutatorian.

The first- and second-grade field trip is May 19. They will visit State Exchange Bank, where Mr. Muegge will tell them about the history of the bank and facts about money. Then they will travel to Hembree Roping Arena, where Justin and Adrienne Hembree will ride and rope for them. A wiener roast will follow for lunch. The students will end the day at the new cattle pens near Salt Fork, where they will see cattle and hear how they are taken care of.

The kindergarten and sixth grade graduations are 7 p.m. May 19 in the Deer Creek gym.

The elementary awards assembly is 9:30 a.m. May 22 at Deer Creek Library.

Last day of school is May 22.

Summer school for elementary students will begin May 26 and end June 12.

Deer Creek-Lamont schools are participating in the summer food service program. Meals will be provided to all children without charge. Meals will be served Monday through Friday May 26 through June 12 at Deer Creek Cafeteria and Lamont Cafeteria. Breakfast is 7:45-8:30 a.m. at both sites and lunch is 11 a.m. to noon at Deer Creek Cafeteria and 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. at Lamont Cafeteria. Children through age 18 eat free. Adult breakfasts are $1.75 and adult lunches are $2.25.
