The town of Okeene will host a spring blood drive 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday at Okeene Masonic Lodge. Pizza and roast beef sandwiches will be served. Donors also will be entered in a drawing for a large supreme pizza from T-Mac’s, Okeene’s smokehouse and grill.

Okeene Kiwanis Club made a donation to the Okeene school library for “Reading Across America” program to promote literacy. Jenny Winter presented the donation to library media specialist Henri Blehm and principal Jeremy Osmus.

Okeene Elementary School’s third-grade class will hold a land run at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at the football field.

Okeene Elementary School’s fourth-grade class will travel to Watonga on Thursday for a Blaine County farm project.

Pre-kindergarten enrollment is 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday at Okeene Elementary School. All children who are age 4 by Sept. 1 are eligible to enroll. Parents or guardians are requested to bring the up-to-date immunization record, Social Security card and official birth certificate.
