Construction work will mean a couple of Enid streets will be closed starting Wednesday.
Lorenz Construction Co. of Enid will begin reconstruction of Park from Van Buren to Jackson. Existing pavement will be removed and replaced with concrete. In case of bad weather, the start date may be put off until Monday.
Construction is expected to take approximately four to five weeks depending on weather. One block of Park and the intersection at Jackson will be closed to through traffic.
Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad will close West Chestnut at the railroad crossing west of Van Buren 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday to repair the track. Chestnut will be closed to through traffic. City officials are telling motorists to use Garriott, Randolph or Willow as alternate routes.
