Staff and wire reports
LAKEWOOD, Colo. — Police here say the death of an Enid man found in a motel room earlier this week is being investigated as a homicide.
A housekeeper discovered the body of 39-year-old Wayne Eric Kawcak, of Enid, shortly before 11 a.m. Tuesday at Denver West Inn.
The cause of death has not been released. Lakewood police spokesman Steve Davis said Kawcak suffered trauma, but declined to discuss other details until an arrest had been made.
Authorities said Kawcak checked into the room alone Monday.
