A Waynoka man was killed early Saturday morning in Woods County after being thrown from his pickup after it ran off the road and struck a mailbox.
Ricky Lee Baird, 36, was dead at the scene from head and chest injuries, according to Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
The accident occurred around 4 a.m. Saturday on Choctaw Road, one-half mile east of CR340 in Woods County.
According to OHP re-ports, the accident occurred when Baird’s 2006 Dodge pickup ran off the right side of the roadway, striking a mailbox. The driver overcorrected, ran off the roadway on the left and rolled two times, ejecting the driver.
Services for Baird are pending at Marshall Funeral Home, Waynoka.
