Samantha Wade, of Enid, has been crowned Miss Junior Teen Enid International 2009.
She will compete for the state title April 26 at the Seretean Center at Oklahoma State University.
The pageant will be held in conjunction with the Mrs., Miss and Miss Teen Oklahoma International pageants. Contestants will compete in the areas of on-stage presentation, fun fashion wear and evening wear.
Wade is a fifth-grader at Eisenhower Elementary School, where she has perfect attendance and is on the superintendent’s honor roll. When she’s not at school, Wade enjoys twirling baton, singing, dancing and drawing. She also helps out with a community program at her church called “Open Your Heart.”
She is the daughter of John and Virginia Wade. The Miss Junior Teen Oklahoma Pageant is affiliated with the Oklahoma International Pageants, which are official state preliminaries to the international pageants held annually in Chicago. The Miss Junior Teen Oklahoma International pageant was developed to introduce girls ages 10-12 to the international system and to promote their accomplishments and commitment to their community.
