Candidates for municipal offices in Garfield County will file for office starting Monday.
Seats are open in five communities. The filing period ends at 5 p.m. Wednesday. Candidates must file at Garfield County Election Board office, 903 Failing.
Offices open are:
• Garber — city treasurer, four-year term; city council seats for Ward 2 and Ward 4, four-year term; and Ward 1 and Ward 3, unexpired term.
• Covington — city treasurer, four-year term; and two seats on the board of trustees, four-year term.
• North Enid — city treasurer, four-year term; and two seats on the board of trustees, four-year term.
• Lahoma — town treasurer, four-year term; board of trustees, four-year term; and board of trustees, unexpired term.
• Waukomis — board of trustees seats for Ward 2 and Ward 4, four-year term.
Also, Billings in Noble County will have two seats on the board of trustees open. They are four-year terms.
Municipal elections will be April 7.
