A Kingfisher woman was hospitalized Wednesday after a one-vehicle accident being blamed on slushy road conditions.
Georgenia Renee Barton, 37, was taken by private vehicle to Kingfisher Regional Hospital, according to an Oklahoma Highway Patrol report. She was listed in good condition with internal trunk injuries.
The accident happened at 11:48 a.m. on Lake Elmer Road one mile north and nearly one and one-half miles west of Kingfisher.
According to the report, she was driving a 2005 Ford Expedition west on Lake Elmer Road when she lost control because of the slushy conditions and went into the ditch and hitting an embankment.
She was wearing a seat belt.
