2 hurt in Blaine County crash

Two people were hospitalized after a two-vehicle collision in Blaine County at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, according to Oklahoma Highway Patrol officials.

A 2004 GMC Yukon, driven by Glenna M. Hawpe, 21, of Weatherford, was hit by a 2003 Sterling feed truck, driven by Ockert Potgieter, 43, of Hydro, who failed to stop at an intersection northwest of Hydro on Oklahoma 58, according to an OHP report.

The Yukon rolled onto its side, ejecting Hawpe, who was not wearing a seat belt, the report states.

Hawpe was admitted to Weatherford Regional Hospital with arm and leg injuries and listed in stable condition.

Her passenger, Mercedes McPhear-son, 17, of Anadarko, also was admitted at the Weatherford hospital in stable condition with internal trunk and leg injuries.

Two other passengers — 13-year-old Alexus McPhearson, of Anadarko, and 14-month-old Brenna Burdick of Weatherford — were treated and released at the hospital, according to the report.

Potgieter was not injured, the report states.
