LAHOMA — Authorities have identified the driver who died in an explosion early Saturday morning after crashing into four gas pumps at the Corner Store.
Tracy Lynn Olson, 40, of rural Hennessey, lost control of her 2008 Dodge pickup shortly after midnight while she was westbound on U.S. 412.
Mike Andrews, Lahoma Police Department chief, said Olson was driving at a high rate of speed when her pickup struck a mailbox, a speed limit sign, narrowly missed a Lahoma police car and went into a broadslide before striking the gas pumps at the Corner Store.
The pumps exploded, and Olson died at the scene.
The accident is under investigation.
