Chester man hurt in 2-vehicle crash
A Chester man was injured Friday in a two-vehicle accident in Major County.
Jeremiah Joseph Chance, 21, was taken to St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center with neck injuries, according to an Oklahoma Highway Patrol report. He was listed in good condition.
The accident happened at 6:40 a.m. Friday one-half mile north of Chester on U.S. 281.
According to the OHP re-port, Chance was driving a 1980 Ford pickup south on U.S. 281 when he attempted to make a left turn into a private drive and failed to yield to a 2007 Peterbilt tractor-trailer driven by Stephen Wade Beneda, 28, of Chester.
The weather was foggy, according to the report, and both men were wearing seat belts.

UPDATED photo- Silver Alert issued for missing Garfield County man
Garfield County authorities have issued a Silver Alert for an 88-year-old man who hasn’t been seen since leaving for church. The county sheriff’s office says Edward Sutter was last seen about 9:30 a.m. Sunday when he left home for 1st United Methodist Church in Enid. Sutter never arrived at the church. He was last seen driving a gray, 2003 Toyota Avalon. Authorities had initially said he was driving a Toyota Altima.
