Business leaders and professionals are expected to turn out Wednesday for a wind energy seminar at Autry Technology Center.
The seminar will be 10 a.m. to noon. Economic development professionals, chamber of commerce officials and elected officials from northwest Oklahoma have been invited to attend.
The seminar is sponsored by American Wind Energy Association.
The seminar is expected to address the topics of having wind provide 20 percent of the population’s energy needs by 2030. Also to be discussed is how communities can capitalize ont he need for people to build, operate and maintain wind farms and what the local economic developmment benefits of wind energy are.
