Enid High School’s Big Blue Band took third place in the finals of the gold division Saturday night at the Ozarko Invitational Marching Festival, on the campus of Missouri State University in Springfield, Mo.
Earlier in the day, the Enid band took first in the silver division competition, to advance to the gold marching finals. Enid also took first in drum line in the silver division.
Enid High also captured honors for having the outstanding percussion line in the competition.
Bands from Fayetteville, Ark., and Hickman (Mo.) High School finished in first and second place in the finals, ahead of Enid.
Also placing in the gold finals were Missouri high school bands from Nixa, Ozark, Truman, Fox, Rolla and Branson.
Enid was the only Oklahoma band in the competition.
