The new Walgreens at Oakwood and Garriott will have a grand opening ceremony 8 a.m. Friday, and employees are busy putting the finishing touches on the new drugstore.
The store will be Enid’s second Walgreens location.
“The first store on Garriott is the busiest store in our district, which has more than 40 stores,” said manager Paul Burboa. “We’ve hired an outstanding staff whose focus will be delivering exceptional customer service to this part of town.”
The new Walgreens will carry thousands of everyday items, including medications, health and beauty aids, toiletries, designer fragrances, greeting cards, small electronics, housewares, soft drinks, dairy products, frozen foods and snacks. Walgreens also offers convenient services including digital photo processing and passport photos.
Walgreens advanced pharmacy system links all its pharmacies, making it possible for Enid customers to refill prescriptions at any of the thousands of Walgreens across the country. Walgreens customers also can take advantage of auto prefills, a service that marks monthly medications to be refilled automatically, then calls or sends an e-mail reminder the prescription is ready for pickup.
“This store will continue the tradition of trust that has guided Walgreens for 107 years,” Burboa said. “We are committed to providing the most convenient access to high-quality pharmacy services and basic needs.”
The new Walgreens and its pharmacy will be open 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. with pharmacy hours 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday; and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. with pharmacy hours 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.
