Democrats slate rally
Garfield County Democratic Party will host a rally 3-6 p.m. Sunday at Government Springs Park.
The rally will feature live music from Shiloh and other performers. Speakers include Dr. Ivan Holmes, chairman of Oklahoma Democratic Party; Hugh Rice, father of U.S. Senate candidate Andrew Rice; Frankie Robbins, 3rd district U.S. House candidate; Pierce Jones, House District 40 candidate; and other state and local Democrats.
Hot dogs and chips will be available for $1 each. Bumper stickers, buttons and signs also will be available.
Switching problem shuts down OG&E; customers
More than 1,300 Enid OG&E; Electric Services customers were without power for about 15 minutes Friday.
OG&E; spokesman John Little said 1,363 customers were without power from 12:15 to 12:33 p.m.
Little said the outage was due to some switching problems, but the problem was quickly corrected.
