Kremlin-Hillsdale foundation social, auction held Aug. 16

The annual Kremlin-Hillsdale Aca-demic Enrichment Foundation ice cream social and live and silent auction was Aug. 16 at Kremlin Community Center.

Homemade ice cream, cookies and other pastries were served. WildHorse Gang presented a check for $1,000 to KHAEF. The money was a portion of the donations and earnings accumulated by WildHorse Gang members doing their many volunteer projects throughout the year. It will go into the KHAEF fund that provides grants to Kremlin-Hillsdale teachers.

WildHorse Gang also presented a $3,320 check to Kremlin-Hillsdale Superintendent Steve Hoffsommer and Kremlin pool manager Virginia Craig on Aug. 20.

The money was the result of this year’s annual aluminum can drive, conducted by WildHorse Gang, Jim Holt of South Side Recycling and matching funds from other contributors.

This year’s aluminum can drive was brought to a conclusion by the efforts of volunteers Chantz Tucker, Tanner Rogers, Grant Stevens, Cathy Lovern, Alex Lovern, Paige Ayers, Cherokee and Dustin McClan-ahan, Jeremy Maxwell, Cherokee and Chase Minter, Lexus Anderson, Kulyer and Hannah Winbolt, Bryce and Rebecca Bannon, Mary and Mihayla Mitchell, Kelly Mitchell, Aaron and Annette Butler and WildHorse Gang founder and director Gini Zaloudek
