Enid police Saturday night scoured the scene of a second hit-and-run in as many days, investigating the site near Elm and 3rd where an adult tricyclist was hit.
The crash happened about 8:30 p.m. behind Crappy’s Warehouse at the intersection of 3rd and Elm streets.
A 16-year-old was arrested for driving under the influence, leaving the scene of an accident and driving without a license, Enid Police Department Sgt. Richard Sutton said.
Several witnesses identified the vehicle and its driver, Sutton said.
The driver of the tricycle ap-peared to have been seriously injured, police said, but details of the rider’s injuries were not available at press time.
An hour after the incident, officers still were combing the area with flashlights, gathering pieces around a mangled tricycle.
A police spokesman said they would not release more information Saturday night.
The accident comes after a 12-year-old was injured in an accident Friday night. Police still are investigating that incident, which also was a hit-and-run accident.
