No injuries were reported in a fire Monday night at an Enid home.

Enid firefighters received a report at 10:18 p.m. of a house fire at 2816 N. Cleveland. Enid Fire Department responders were on scene within five minutes and had the fire controlled 16 minutes after their arrival, according to a report.

The report states the fire began in the courtyard or patio of the home because of a cigarette, which burned “organic materials” and “sawn wood.” Damage to the home and contents were estimated at $40,000.

As firefighters arrived at the scene, they found the south side of the home on fire. Firefighters extinguished the fire on the exterior and roof of the home, according to the report. The fire did not spread to the attic of the home.
