Several members of Enid’s Air Force Association Chapter 214 were honored recently at the Texoma Regional Convention of the AFA held at Tinker Air Force Base.
James J. Jacobs was named Oklahoma AFA State Person of the Year, while Doug Chown was named Chapter Officer of the Year.
Chown also won the Oklahoma Medal of Merit, as did Scott Northcutt and Master Sgt. Christopher Fry.
Jacobs, Jack “Pappy” Beam, Maj. Bruce Shelton, George Pankonin, Dan Ohnesorge, Mary Feightner, Terry Cox and Bill Shewey won the Exceptional Service Award.
Senior Airman Peter J. Tripi of Vance AFB was named Oklahoma Airman of the Year.
