Two Seiling women were hospitalized Wednesday after a two-vehicle accident in Kingfisher County.
According to an Oklahoma Highway Patrol report, Jo Rene Johnson, 50, and her mother, Jo Francis Johnson, 82, were taken to Kingfisher Regional Hospital. Jo Rene Johnson was admitted for observation with internal trunk injuries and neck injuries. Jo Francis Johnson was admitted in guarded condition with arm, leg and trunk injuries.
The accident happened at 12:30 p.m., at the intersection of Oklahoma 3 and Calumet blacktop, according to the report.
According to the report, Rob William Schlup, 35, of Ada, was driving a 2007 Ford pickup south on Calumet blacktop when he failed to yield from a stop sign and hit the 1998 Mercury driven by Jo Rene Johnson, who was traveling east on Oklahoma 3.
Both vehicles came to a rest in the southeast ditch.
Schlup refused treatment at the scene.
Seat belts were in use in both vehicles, according to the report.
