A Texas couple was critically injured after a motorcycle crash in rural Harper County Saturday morning, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
Brent J. Williamson, 41, and Pamela Sue Williamson, 50, both of Pampa, Texas, each suffered head, leg, arm and internal injuries when the motorcycle they were riding collided with another bike and flipped on U.S. 283 five miles north of Laverne, an OHP report stated.
Brent Williamson was driving a 2008 Harley Davidson south on the highway behind another motorcycle driven by Herman L. Vess, 60, of Fort Worth, Texas. The Williamson bike was following too closely and struck Vess’s motorcycle in the rear. The Harley flipped once and skidded, according to the report.
Vess was treated and released for his injuries.
The Williamsons both were taken to Harper County Community Hospital in Buffalo, then transferred to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kan., the OHP said.
