A Geary youth was hospitalized Wednesday after being injured in an accident involving an all-terrain vehicle.
Francisco Perez, 12, was taken to Parkview Hospital in El Reno with leg injuries, according to an Oklahoma Highway Patrol report, which said he was in stable condition.
The accident happened at 1:07 p.m. Wednesday.
According to the report, Perez was a passenger on the Komoto 150cc four-wheeler, which was driven by Justin Michael Nelson, 15, of Geary. Jeremiah M. Albiston, 14, of Geary, and Christopher Drey Taylor, 15, of Geary, also were passengers.
The boys were riding east on a county road just south of Geary city limits, according to the report, when Taylor’s foot went under a back tire, causing the ATV to flip once and hit a bridge. All of the boys were ejected.
None of the other boys was injured, according to the report.
