A 54-year-old Enid man was injured Thursday when an 86-year-old woman struck him as he rode his bicycle.
According to an Enid Police Department report, Daisy Hornay was turning left onto Monroe about 1:08 p.m. when she hit Steven Hudson as he rode his bike south on Monroe.
Hornay told police she did not see Hudson as she made her turn and caught Hudson with the left front fender of her car, the report states.
Hudson told police he was riding south on Monroe when Hornay turned the corner, hitting the back tire of his bicycle and caused him to spin around and fall to the ground.
Hudson was taken by Life EMS to St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center and was treated for an incapacitating leg injury, according to the report. Hornay was cited for failure to devote attention to driving.
