A Covington man remained in critical condition Saturday in University of Oklahoma Medical Center after getting run over by a tractor late Friday in Garfield County, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
Christopher Sheldon Sharp, 18, was transported by air ambulance to the center, where he was admitted with internal and external injuries.
The accident occurred at 11:14 p.m. Friday south of Rupe and a half-mile west of Getty Road, according to the OHP.
Sharp had left an Allis Chalmers 7020 tractor with baler in gear when he disembarked for an unknown reason. He ran to get back on the tractor but slipped and fell underneath the tires of the baler, according to the OHP.
Trooper Gabe Leach of the Garfield County detachment at Troop J investigated the accident.
