Bidders will have a chance at everything from homemade pies to airplane rides and stress tests at the annual Oklahoma Bible Academy benefit auction Oct. 7.
Along with a wide variety of merchandise, bidders will have the opportunity to buy services, vacations, catered dinners and many other packages.
The annual country breakfast starts at 7:30 a.m. and is by donation. All booths and the silent auction open at 8. The live auction, children’s carnival and activities begin at 9.
Every year in early October, Oklahoma Bible Academy conducts an auction to raise funds for its general budget.
Throughout the years, OBA’s auction has featured a number of items and donations from merchants in Enid and surrounding communities.
Also up for bid will be a number of one-of-a-kind, hand-made quilts and other high-quality craft items.
University of Oklahoma and Oklahoma State University fans will find sporting event tickets, clothing, souvenirs and other specialty items.
Auction items include:
• Hawaiian vacation package to Maui’s famous west side. The ocean-front condo is one of only 18 units, so the winner will enjoy privacy and a view.
• Weekend getaway in a cabin near Branson, Mo.
• Bed and breakfast overnight stay gift certificates.
• Hand-painted OSU items.
• Autographed footballs and basketballs from OSU and OU.
• A day of golf at Pheasant Run Golf Club.
• Deer hunting lease.
• A ski trip New Mexico. Four days and three nights in Taos, N.M.
• Duck hunting trip.
• Diagnostic hearing evaluation and digital hearing aid (includes evaluation).
• Eight 30-minute sessions with a personal trainer at Finer Physiques.
• Original art by H. Holden.
• Stained glass-original creation.
• Tickets to OU and OSU sporting events.
• Golf at Oakwood Country Club. Fees for two and golf cart included.
• Christmas in the Planes. A flight for two to view Enid Christmas lights.
• Fishing trip. A two-day trip to local bass ponds. Includes transportation, lunch, boat, bait and tackle. An evening cookout ends the day.
• Numerous hand-stitched and crocheted quilts, lap quilts, blankets and throws.
• Discovery Flight. Two people will have the opportunity to fly a Cessna 150, with the assistance of an instructor from Northwest Aero Services.
• Stress test. Dr. Douglas Brown, Enid cardiologist, will administer a cardio stress test.
• Guided hunting trip.
• Airplane ride in a TRI Q 200.
• Car lease for one week from Johnsons of Enid.
• Sofa from Rest and Recline.
• Gift certificates from dozens of restaurants and fast food spots.
• Tickets to local theaters and children’s activities.
