Local lotto winner hasn’t claimed prize

One lucky lotto winner has yet to claim a $10,000 prize from the Sept. 9 Powerball drawing.

A flier notifying customers of the unclaimed prize hangs in the Oncue Express, 3704 W. Willow, where the winning numbers were purchased.

Thomas Smith, a clerk at the store, said managers were notified last week by the state lottery commission a winning ticket from the store has gone unclaimed.

According to the Oklahoma Lottery Web site, players of the Powerball game have 180 days to claim their prize before it is considered unclaimed.

The prize bought from the Enid store is one of three $10,000 prizes to go unclaimed. The site also says a $30,000 prize won in the May 27 drawing has not been claimed, and a $400,000 prize from the April 1 drawing also has yet to be claimed.

The player who purchased the winning ticket from the Enid store has until March 12, 2007, to claim the prize.
