An Enid man was arraigned on a felony charge of second-degree rape Friday in Garfield County District Court.
Kashma Harry, 26, is accused of having sex with a 15-year-old girl sometime between January and February 2005, when he was 24. If found guilty, Harry faces a sentence of one to 15 years in prison.
Police took a report Oct. 25, 2005, that a 15-year-old girl was pregnant by an adult male, later found to be Harry, according to an affidavit.
On June 1, 2006, police spoke with the girl at her home and were told she had the baby Oct. 24, 2005, the affidavit states. The girl’s age at the time of conception would have been 15, and the child would have been conceived sometime in either January and February 2005.
Police spoke with Harry by phone July 24, 2006, and he said he knew the alleged victim and had met her about three years ago at a local church function, according to the affidavit.
Harry told police he thought the girl was about 16 years old, and said he had consensual sex with the girl twice at his home.
Harry was given a $5,000 bond and was ordered to appear in court again Nov. 2 for a bond appearance.
