ENID, Okla. —
The situation continues to develop, but one thing is certain: Snow is in the forecast for Enid.
The National Weather Service has placed Garfield County in a winter storm watch through Tuesday afternoon, and projections have Enid and a large part of northwest Oklahoma in a band to receive 2-4 inches of snow. Woodward, half of Major County and other areas west are in the area expected to receive 3-6 inches, the NWS said.
The eastern parts of Garfield and Grant counties are expected to receive 1-2 inches of snow.
Other counties in the watch include Alfalfa, Major, Woods, Woodward, Harper, Ellis, Roger Mills, Dewey, Custer, Blaine, Beckham, Grant and Kingfisher. NWS said snow accumulations may result in slick and hazardous roads in areas within the watch.
Snow is expected to develop late tonight and spread east across the area Tuesday.
